Save Our Pogies - Mission Statment The Mission of the SAVE OUR POGIES effort is to seek support from the many fishermen who recognize the importance of the Pogy as a food source for virtually every game fish that swims our coastal waters, with the goal being, as a organized group, to encourage our elected officials to pass legislation to eliminate commercial Pogy netting within our North Carolina State waters (within 3 miles of shore), thus preserving this important food source for our game fish that depend upon the Pogy as their primary food source.
